Tsong Khapa lived from 1357 to 1419. He was a great reformer and founder of the Gelug-pa (yellow hat) tradition. He is despicted in a jolly mood. He has a puffy nose and wears a long pointed yellow cap with flaps.

He popularized the theme of Lamrim i.e. Stages of the path to enlightenment introduced in Tibet by Guru Atisha. He is said to be the emanation of Bodhisattva Manjushri.
