Kartri, Katari or Gri-Gug called curved knife is vajra-sealed. A weapon symbolizing severance of all material and this wordly bonds held by Mahakala and by the Dakinis embracing the Dharmapalas and the Yidams such as Yama and Yamantaka. The Kartri is one of the three femal weapons (with Kathvanga and skull-cup), known as the knife of the dakinis.
